Those of you that have seen His Last Vow will undoubtedly agree that there is not a more fitting title than this. Let me say that I am now issuing my first retraction. When I said that week that my review of The Sign of Three was the hardest review I'd ever have to write, I was HORRIBLY mistaken. I don't even know where to begin. His Last Vow has to be the best series (season) finale I have ever seen. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The episode opens with the Sherlock's new adversary, expertly played by Lars Mikkelsen. Where Moriarty was funny, and adorable, (yes, I said adorable...I love Moriarty) Charles Augustus Magnussen is cold, calculating and just plain creepy. Through the course of the episode, we discover that Sherlock has picked up some old habits, as well as found some new ones, and John has settled into married life. There are some great moments between Sherlock and Mycroft, and we get to see more of Momma and Poppa Holmes (played by Benedict's real life parents, Wanda Ventham and Timothy Carlton). We also get to see just what's going on with Mary Morstan. Like I stated before, its a thrill ride from begining to end, but the last 10 minutes are indescribable. I'm going to stop here before I give anything away, but trust me. You are in for a treat!!!
