I have loved P!ATD since 2005. I was really into Fall Out Boy and I remember Pete wearing these shirts that said "Pete! At The Disco" and how everyone was upset over this group that FOB had signed, but nobody had ever heard of. So me, being the critic that I am, looked them up, not expecting anything good at all. I was very pleasantly surprised. They were so different from anything I had ever heard. Then the video for "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" came out, and I was done. I was hooked. But after all of these years, I had never seen them live. When they announced the Too Weird Tour, I remember vividly saying to myself "I WILL be at that show." Well, the tickets sold out IMMEDIATELY and my only option was Stub Hub, but after Christmas, I was wiped out, and wasn't able to buy my ticket. But on Tuesday, Ticketmaster released some last minute Day of Show tickets and I was on my way!!! I had to go alone, but I didn't care. IT'S PANIC!!!!!
When I got there, the line was already halfway up the block, filled with people who had been there since early that morning. I met some nice people in line, but honestly felt EXTREMELY old, because they were all 19 or younger, but we had a nice time waiting in the freezing cold, and even let out a cheer when we hit the freezing point.
(side note: my favorite conversation of the evening was when I was talking about going to the city last year to meet Benedict Cumberbatch...,
Me: Yeah, I came to see Benedict Cumberbatch last year and we were standing in the middle of the street singing the Jared Padalecki song.
Other girls: that's hilarious!
Me: Yeah, it was cra....
One of the girl's boyfriend: Wait, what the fuck is a Jared Padalecki and why does it have a song??
Me: *laughing* He's an actor on Supernatural. It's a TV show.
Boyfriend: Jared PADALECKI???
Me: I'm cracking up over how you just skipped over a name like Benedict Cumberbatch and went straight for Padalecki
We all laugh and change the subject and keep talking.
5 minutes later, I'm in the middle of a sentence...
Boyfriend: PADALECKI??? That cant be someone's name. I need to hear the song.
Me: No you don't, it's going to get stuck in your head.
They all asked me to sing it so I did. An hour later, the boyfriend starts humming the song and the girlfriend starts laughing and he's like "What.....
DAMMIT!!!" LMAO)
But anyway, They finally let us into the venue at around 6:20 and we started singing "I Write Sins" as we go towards the door. Soon we are inside and the room fills up pretty quickly. I knew I didn't want to be in the middle, and I wanted to be as close to Dallon as possible, because I LOOOOVVVEE him and I knew that he throws his pics into the crowd. At this point my feet were killing me, and I was ready for the show to start. The opening act was X Ambassadors....

They were pretty good! They had an Imagine Dragons feel to them, and the lead singer played the sax and drums. They said they were headlining a show in April, and I might actually go to it. They did about 3-4 songs. (WARNING: It's loud!! And I know some of it is sideways....I honestly don't know why I did that....)
When X ambassadors were on, people kinda stormed the stage, and since I was about 3-4 people back from the stage, I was smooshed. It was was really hard to breathe, and I almost had an episode, but this nice girl (SHE WAS 25!!! LOL We spent the time in between the opening acts talking about how "We're too old for this shit" lol) was kind enough to help me breathe through it. And Panic!'s stage crew were handing out bottles of water. Then it was on to The Colourist, they were alright. I wasn't too impressed, but they did good. They did have a female drummer, which I thought was pretty cool. They did about 5-6 songs...
AND THEN IT WAS TIME!!!!!!!
THE drum set....
THE drum set....
Dallon's mic stand and his picks....
This was when the SUPER pushing started. But at this point, I didn't even care!!!! It was absolutely AMAZING!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love Brendon, but Dallon is my baby!!! After this song, there was kind of a pause, so I started a chant. "DALLON!! DALLON!! DALLON!!" He smiled and pointed at himself like "Who me?" and blew a kiss. Too adorable!!! :0)
My main goal of the night was to catch at least one back flip.....and here it is!!! (I caught the other one too, but its hard to see...)
The first time I heard this song, it brought tears to my eyes. It's the wedding vows that Brendon wrote for Sarah. Hearing him sing it live (WHILE SICK, MIND YOU) was beautiful....
THIS IS WHILE HE IS SICK!!!!
When he was talking, you could hear it in his voice, but then he does shit like this!!! Please, tell me again how Brendon can't sing....

The show ended with Nearly Witches, they went off stage, and the obligatory chant started....."PANIC!!! PANIC!!! PANIC!!!"
Finally Dallon comes out, followed by Kenneth and none other than NAKED BRENDON!!!! (Yes, I know he's not completely naked...but that's what he wore in the Girls/Girls/Boys video lol)

Last song of the night....the second back flip is at the end of Pt 2. Its kinda hard to see, someone's hand was in the way...
The show was INCREDIBLE!!!! They did an excellent job of mixing old and new material and making it all cohesive. They played all of my favorite songs, save for one or two, and it was awesome to see Brendon at work. He sang, played the piano/keyboard, played the guitar and drums, all while working the board and never missing a beat. They really put on a hell of a show. If you know me, you know I'm really self conscious about myself. I'm always conscious of people looking at me, or saying something and laughing at me. But for the first time in my life, I didn't care. I was jumping up and down, (YES, I SAID JUMPING!!!) nodding my head, screaming at the top of my lungs, dancing, twirling....I did it all, and I had a blast. I'm so glad I went and I'm so looking forward to the next tour, because I'll be at that one too, front and center.
